The London Technical Advisors Group (LoTAG) maintains a technical network for local government professionals and co-opted members in the highway and transport fields. It provides a centre for professional advice and assistance for local policy development and service delivery on a London wide basis. As part of this remit the Highway Maintenance Steering Group, a sub group of LoTAG Group 2 was tasked with producing a common specification suitable for London's needs in the 21st century. The chair of HMSG, Martin Sachs managed to get funding for the project from the London Centre of Excellence and tasked Jacobs with carrying out the study and production of the report. |

The HMSG arranged a training day sponsored by the London Centre of Excellence for all London's technical community. Martin's staff did an excellent job in organising an excellent day appreciated by all attending. Presentations in PDF format (some are quite large so may take time to download) These presentations are a valuable tool for all those involved with highway design & maintenance and we are grateful for Andy Simms the Technical Director of Jacobs for sharing them with us.
