London Technical Advisors Group

The London Technical Advisors Group (LoTAG) maintains a technical network for local government professionals and co-opted members in the highway and transport fields. It provides a centre for professional advice and assistance for local policy development and service delivery on a London wide basis.

Is there any LoTAG member computer literate enough to take on the webmaster role.

After more years than I care to remember I've been running this site, but have reached the stage where I no longer able to do it at work and don't seem to have the time when I get home. Also I'm no longer involved with highways & engineering so am out of touch with the profession and only get to know what's going on when I can get to the group meetings something that's getting more difficult with work pressures.

I'm presuming some of you actually look at the site, find it useful and want to see it carry on.

There is also the issue of paying for the hosting, approximately £100.00 a year. LoTAG has no source of income, there are no subscriptions. Up till now there was a small surplus from earlier years which covered those costs, but that has run out.

We need an authority that is happy to promote LoTAG and fund the website, that is of course if you want it to continue.

I'm OK to carry on for a couple of months, but someone needs to come forward before the hosting is due for renewal at the beginning of May.

This site aims to be of maximum use and benefit to London's technical community.

Details of LoTAG meetings can be found on our diary pages.

The information pages have numerous documents & articles relevant to London.

Take the time to browse through our menu on the left to find a host of useful information.

For information on national TAG activities visit the TAG website at www.tagonline.co.uk.

As part of TAG LoTAG urges all London boroughs to sign up for TAG membership. This is now authority based and is about £660 per year if the population is over 250,000 and £440 for up to 250,000 population.

If your authority is a member of TAG individuals can register as members at no cost.
However there is no membership requirement to take part in LoTAG activities, all London authorities are automatically members and our colleagues from across London contribute to the work of LoTAG for the benefit of London and the wider community. Just turn up and take part.

The LoTAG lighting group LoLEG now has a dedicated page with details of their meetings, as well as the ILE & the UK Lighting Board meetings.

The London Bridge Engineering Group, LoBEG, reports to LoTAG Group 2. Click here for their minutes.

The London Street Works Highways Group have their pages on this site, they can be accessed via the HAUC JAG button on the left.
